Reports to: Facilities Engineer

Position Summary:

This position is solely responsible for the appearance of our office and maintaining a sanitary work environment.

General Responsibilities:

Keep building in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.

  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.

  • Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.

  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.

  • Gather and empty trash.

  • Service, clean, or supply restrooms

  • Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

  • Set up, arrange, or remove decorations, tables, or chairs to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings.

  • Special projects as assigned


  • Ability to prioritize cleaning checklist

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Conduct self in a professional manner in front of customers and fellow employees.

  • Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, tools and equipment used to clean a public facility.

  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules/regulations
