Supply Chain Assistant

Reports to:  Purchasing Manager

Position Summary:

General Responsibilities:

  • Confirm purchase orders

  • Update delivery dates reflective to supplier feedback

  • Relay information to affected stakeholders on the changes being made in real time with purchase orders, delivery dates etc.

  • Work within the system to expedite orders

  • Run daily, weekly and monthly reports

  • Train in receiving and shipping area

  • Train as Jr Buyer

  • Other supply chain duties as they are assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably in manufacturing.

  • Ability to think critically and implement effective solutions

  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal skills

  • Detail-oriented and accurate with strong organization skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Ability to interact professionally and ethically with all levels of the organization

  • Desire to train and grow within the Supply Chain department
