Title: Bilingual Project Engineer

Position Summary:This full-time position will be responsible for managing projects in our Mexico territory for Therma-Tron-X, Inc. while working out of our headquarters in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of projects moving through our facility from design all the way through to start-up. Travel to our customer sites in Mexico will be a necessary part of the role. The Project Engineer will be required to travel to our customer sites as necessary during the sales, engineering, installation, and start-up phases of each project. Follow-up trouble-shooting, service, and warranty visits will also be required.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Ability to travel to Mexico frequently
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Possess an assertive, self-driving attitude

General Responsibilities:

Sales Phase

  • Support Sales department as needed
    • Review quotes and specifications
    • Suggest new concepts to meet customer requirements
    • Price non-standard items
  • Direct, manage, and support R & D projects

Engineering Phase

  • Provide direction to Lead Designers and Detailers on engineering and design specifications.
  • Approve fabrication drawings prior to release (responsible for the contents of all prints in production for jobs assigned).
  • Order long lead time items and monitor delivery of same.
  • Approve materials being requisitioned for purchase.
  • Write and price addendums to address customer’s changing requirements during the project.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers.
  • Develop and approve all required engineering documentation including operation manuals, maintenance manuals, recommended spare parts lists, etc.

Fabrication Phase

  •  Work closely with the fabrication personnel to complete the project.
  • Manage the fabrication phase of the project to ensure continuity with the contract and design specifications.
  • Ensure that final drawings reflect the end product.
  • Assist the Field Installation Manager in development and review of subcontractor proposals and bids.

Installation Phase

  •  Support Installation Supervisors; providing phone support, additional materials, updated prints, etc
  • Site visits for site evaluation and preparation, equipment review during installation, start-up and training, as required.
  • Collect all required documentation, including Operator Training Letters, Equipment Acceptance Forms, Safety Review Forms, Field Installation Reports, etc.

Post-Installation Phase

  •  Maintain communication and relationships with key customer representatives.
  • Generate and communicate potential sales leads to TTX Management.
  • Resolve problems and issues as they arise.
  • Support the Engineering Services Manager and the Field Installation Supervisors as necessary.

 


Title:    PLC Programmer          

Report To:    VP of Engineering

Position Summary:

Programmers will program and trouble-shooting PLC’s in an industrial environment.  

Programmers will create custom ladder –logic and script functions as necessary in order to control ovens, hydraulics, water treatment, and custom industrial machinery and working with digital, analog, and PID controls.

Programmers will follow each application to its conclusion which includes all aspects of programming and installation including writing technical manuals for machine operations and training.

General Responsibilities:

Programming, trouble-shooting and installation of control systems for custom machinery manufactured for the metal finishing and water treatment industries. 

Startup and wiring of control circuits for testing and installation will be necessary. 

Considerable travel may be required.

Title: Application Developer

Report To: VP Information Technology

Position Summary:

As an Application Developer you will be responsible for the development and testing of C# applications, including back-end services and front-end graphical user interfaces. You will coordinate closely with others on the software development team, each working on various layers of the infrastructure.  A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and attentional to detail is essential. In addition, due to the small nature of TTX’s IT department, you may also function as a backup in other areas within the IT department from aiding a user with questions through network troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable programming code & databases
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, documentation, and automatization
  • Troubleshoot and provide end user support
  • Continue to further knowledge-base through study and various forms of education
  • Travel as needed to satellite facilities
  • Adjust working hours based on project necessity

Skills

  • Proficient in C#, with experience in application creation, debugging, documentation, and implementation
  • Familiarity with the .NET framework
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Skill for writing reusable C# libraries
  • Proficient in good database design principles and experience with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns including connections to SQL database
  • Knowledge of SQL commands and proper query structure
  • Ability to write clean, readable C# code
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Implementing testing platforms and user tests
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
