Recruiting Coordinator
Reports to: Human Resource Administrator
Position Summary:
As the first face of TTX, the recruiter must display an exceptional level of professionalism, a friendly and welcoming personality, and be passionate about introducing TTX to candidates. The Recruiter is responsible for the full life cycle of the recruitment process from sourcing and interviewing candidates to facilitating the hiring and onboarding process. This role involves collaborating with hiring managers to develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to meet the company’s staffing needs.
General Responsibilities:
Talent Sourcing: Create and execute a recruiting plan to identify and attract potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals. Identify new sourcing strategies to keep up with hiring needs. Ensuring an exceptional candidate experience must be top priority.
Candidate Screening: Review resumes, conduct initial phone or video screens, and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the role. Must think beyond the position applied for to assess best fit, keeping in mind future staffing needs.
Interviewing: Coordinate and conduct in-person interviews, providing feedback to both candidates and hiring managers. Arrange any necessary travel, lodging, and meals; and provide community information.
Job Posting: Work with human resources/hiring managers to write job descriptions used to create job advertisements. Ensure all open positions are compelling and posted on multiple platforms in an effort to reach the intended audience.
Collaboration: Work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing requirements and provide guidance on best practices for recruiting.
Reference Check: Talk with professional references to fully vet all final candidates prior to the offer stage. Communicate finding from references with hiring manager to determine fit.
Offer Management: Extend job offers, negotiate terms, and facilitate the hiring process from offer acceptance to onboarding.
Relocation Assistance: Manage new employee relocation by determining new employee requirements, arranging temporary housing, and providing community information.
Intern/Youth Apprentice Program Management: Collaborate with area schools to attract and hire students. Conduct interviews and orientations, coordinate training schedules, communicate with managers to assess performance of Interns/YA providing feedback to both the employee and manager.
Data Management: Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment metrics using applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
Requirements:
Post-secondary education is preferred
Bilingual speaker is a plus
Knowledge in drafting/design and metal fabrication is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to assertively communicate application outcomes to candidates in a professional manner
Familiarity with relevant employment laws
Maintain complete confidentiality of all applicants
Professional, organization, and project management skills
Creative thinker, able to overcome obstacles to meet staffing goals
Exceptional computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Expert level knowledge of social media platforms
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Must be self-motivated and able to direct and plan your workdays
Must be able to travel to recruitment events, including overnight stays.
