Traveling Back in Time

For many, many years the Michigan Street bridge was the only bridge in Sturgeon Bay. However, in 1960, the Michigan Street bridge was damaged and closed for months on end. Once the bridge was repaired, “local residents demanded a second bridge….” and by 1978 the Bayview bridge was built.

You might be wondering how this relates to Therma-Tron-X’s history. Well, did you know that TTX’s original location was 723 S. Oxford Ave in Sturgeon Bay? Directly in the path of the new Bayview (highway) bridge. And so, in 1976 TTX broke ground and began construction of their new (current) building. Once complete, the building was 21,800 sq. ft. Today TTX’s plant is 280,000-square feet of manufacturing space with an internal 35,500 square feet of office space.
