THERMA-TRON-X, INC. to donate $2 million to enhance Sevastopol Building Referendum Donation is contingent on community approval of November 6 referendum votes
The referendum has passed, and Therma-Tron-X will be donating $2 million to
Sevastopol School
STURGEON BAY, Wis. (Oct. 15, 2018) — THERMA-TRON-X, INC., a local manufacturing company that specializes in industrial finishing systems, water treatment and wastewater treatment systems, is proud to announce plans to donate $2 million to the Sevastopol School District to enhance the upcoming building referendum by improving the technology education rooms, fab labs and also by allowing the addition of a new middle school/high school science wing. This donation will support the proposed addition and renovation outlined in the upcoming referendum and is contingent on its passing. Both referendum questions – the operating question and the building question – must pass to secure the donation.
“THERMA-TRON-X prides itself on its strong commitment to the community,” said Brad M. Andreae, President/COO at THERMA-TRON-X. “With all the exciting school updates proposed in the upcoming referendum, we wanted to invest in the future of not only the students, but our workforce and local economy. Hopefully this donation will encourage others to donate and more importantly encourage the community to get out and vote to support the referendum.”
Classroom space and function in science, art and technical education have changed significantly over the last seven decades. The new STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math)/Fab Lab spaces will be geared toward today’s career-focused, hands-on learning programs, which require more space and flexibility to support a curriculum relevant to current and future students as well as local industries such as THERMA-TRON-X, INC.
“The Sevastopol School District is honored by and grateful for THERMA-TRON-X’s donation and commitment to enhancing and advancing the education of our students,” said Kyle Luedtke, superintendent for Sevastopol School District. “We are excited to give the residents of our communities the opportunity to vote on an investment in our future as we continue our heritage of pioneering the next generation.”
For more information on the proposed additions and renovations, attend an upcoming open house on Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 pm or Monday, Oct. 22 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 pm. Tours will be available.
